This record label is giving fans what they
want: more of their favorite artist.
The CD's packaging informs consumers that
extra goodies are locked on the CD—
available for instant purchase and use. The
consumer inserts the disc into their
computer, and discovers that they can
purchase electronic sheet music, additional
audio tracks in MP3 format, concert footage,
screen-savers, and more.
CD players treat the CD as a standard audio
disc. But computers can display the on-disc
store that's also written on the CD.
